if you dont want to spend a fortune and just want a boat that is reliable , easy to use and basic then the Boatman Actor is the one for you . £220 approx . i bought one last year as have a tight fishing budget and to be honest cant fault it. two hoppers , easy to put rig in rear hopper . single hand remote so you can control line with other hand

Hello my son purchased one of the cheap bait boats
and indeed the spring loaded hopper on the boat he purchased does indeed through the bait about 2 metres

the only trouble with most budget boat is the tipper, it throws the bait about a metre from the rear of the boat

I bought a fishing people baiting 500. I also purchased 2 extra batteries. I fully charge the batteries but only get one run out out boat before they all run flat. I tried to contact baiting people but have had no response
Any suggestions

Good afternoon.

I never thought of getting a bait boat until I had a brain tumour in 2017/2018. I’ve never had one or used one. I looked at many bait boats and decided on the Actor bait boat with gps by Boatman. The reviews I saw were mixed, so until I get it and use it, I won’t know. I like the fact, it’s only 1 hand remote, looking at the videos on YouTube, it’s easy to use and there’s a button on the remote, that tells the boat to return to the start position. It also depends on how much you want to spend. I don’t know how many bait boats there are, but I know some of them are over £3000.

Can anyone help how good are the cheep bait boats with gps plotting and home return are??? And I see have sprung loaded bait holders does this not throw your bait and rig away from where you wanted it please help a confused fisherman
