Big Lake Bait Boat Review

Read our Big Lake Bait Boat review. The Big Lake Bait Boat is gaining a steady following in the UK, and rightly so…

Made in the UK, the Big Lake Bait Boat is growing in reputation. A bait boat designed and built in the UK for under £500 was going to raise a few eyebrows. This impressive cheap bait boat is easy to maintain and seems very reliable, even in harsh water conditions.

The Big Lake Bait Boat is well designed with an easy change battery system and a single, large-capacity bait hopper. It’s very easy to use and the twin motors ensure manoeuvring this bait boat is effortless. The motors offer both a forward and reserve function to ensure the precise placement of hook baits. The 2.4ghz frequency stops this bait boat from interfering with other radios used by other bait boats of fish finders on the lake. The range of 400m is ample for most fishing situations and the navigation lights make this bait boat easy to use when night fishing or in low-light conditions.

Big Lake Bait Boat MKIII Review

The latest version of the Big Lake Bait Boat is the MK111. Each version has little tweaks from customer feedback to improve the bait boat and the MK111 is now a solid and reliable bait boat.

There are 2 versions in the range and we suggest the upgraded version with Lipo batteries, IMAX charger, weed guards and the additional rig release system included. This upgraded version is still only £530 and offers up to 2 hours of continuous running time from a fully charged battery.

The standard MK111

The standard MK111 is just £450 which makes it one of the best budget bait boats on the market today.

One of the key benefits of buying a Big Lake Bait Boat is the after-sales servicing and repair service. This is an area we feel many bait boat manufacturers fail in. Servicing your bait boat is essential to keep it running well. Water and electronics don’t mix well and many bait boats develop faults over time. Big Lake Bait Boats offers a service and repair service for just £75 + parts and includes return UK mainland shipping. It gives purchasers peace of mind that their boat can be easily repaired should it develop a fault in the future.

Dimensions

After reviewing this bait boat we feel it offers great value and is suitable for most fishing conditions. Watch the video below for a more in-depth Big Lake Bait Boat review.

  • The handset takes 4 x AA batteries

Each boat comes with the required boat batteries and charger although the handset batteries do need to be purchased separately. As these are 4 x AA they can be purchased easily from most shops.

The Big Lake Bait Boat doesn’t come with a bag but universal bags can be purchased easily from eBay here.

Overall, our review of this bait boat is positive and we would recommend it to anybody who is sitting on the fence regards purchasing one.
